So.. you're in this place for eternity? What sort of room does that give you to grow?

(Perhaps that was a bit of a projecting on himself as well. The fact that he felt inadequate to handle what happened on his world, to fight the darkness, to save his people, to keep those he loves alive.. if it's taken from him, like this, how can he grow? How can he get stronger, make better choices?)

I don't know.. him, your father, but I don't understand why he would let his son stagnate here in Hell. Unless this place is somewhere you can grow in.. if you can ascend from here.

I was supposed to be... it was a punishment that was supposed to last for the rest of my existence.

At first, I was resigned to the fate, but... I want more now.

I hope one day that I will have redeemed myself enough to leave here. I hope we all may leave one day.

I know in my heart I want to believe that, even if I do.. it's hard for me to feel like I deserve it.

Yes, I really think so. I think you do want better for us. I've made friends here, I've even had fun here.

That has to go a long way from what this place was .. before? Eternal damnation and torment, I think one of the books said.. but that's not true.

You know, they say it's all about the mentality you approach things. Try to believe it, it'll happen.

It used to be true, but it got rather boring... no forward movement, really. I think I rather prefer how it is now.

I think being here will make me stronger, that's what I believe. That's what I need.

If you do get to go home, what'll happen here? Will we all go home, ready or not?

I feel like part of me deserves to be here. The other part of me wants to go back home and try and fix it.

As for Ardyn... there are other ways down here to get punishments if you feel you deserve them. Even if it's just bit of verbal abuse.
